My candidacy of the Standing commission of the Red Cross and Red Crescent member position is driven by the primary goal of contributing to the development of a roadmap aimed at strengthening and complementing humanitarian action, while fully respecting the specificity of each component within the International Movement. My vision is to see us, in all our diversity, united in a collective movement for humanity.

From this standpoint, the goals I advocated for during numerous conferences within the International Movement persist as the objectives I am committed to achieving if elected as a member of the Standing Commission.

As International Movement components, we are bound by common principles and a dedicated focus on humanitarian efforts. Despite National Societies’ diversity, we aim to speak as One, amplifying the impact of our actions, collaborating with our governments while preserving our independence. One voice towards a collective resilience to confront crises and mitigate their impact on communities. One voice to face the global challenges.

Strengthening National Societies′ Capacities and Enhancing Cooperation while Respecting Diversity

Reinforcing the National Societies′ capacities to enhance responsiveness and resourcefulness in humanitarian missions. Emphasizing seamless coordination and cooperation within the Movement is crucial to uphold our humanitarian mission. This effort must comply with laws and embody the Movement′s spirit to build trust and learn from past obstacles. Encouraging synergy and collaboration with a forward-looking approach while respecting each Society′s autonomy. Fostering the constructive dialogue, essential in our service to humanity.

Transparency, Integrity, and Accountability

Dedicated to maintaining principles of probity, integrity and transparency within the International Federation. Continuous monitoring, questioning and adherence to relevant principles and legal regulations are vital. Fair and appropriate accountability measures essential to uphold the esteemed reputation of the International Movement within the global community and its components.

Activating Cooperation and Upholding Fundamental Principles

With over four decades of voluntary humanitarian experience, I recognize the importance of institutionalizing efforts through robust mechanisms and coordinated frameworks. The paramount goal is to serve humanity, guided by unwavering adherence to the seven Fundamental Principles in all circumstances

Retaining Volunteers and Improving Volunteer Management

Recruiting and retaining volunteers, through clear volunteer management mechanisms, incentives, and implementation of protective measures. Empowering volunteers with training and professional opportunities within their communities and the Movement, emphasizing the promotion of volunteerism and dissemination of Fundamental Principles. Creating a comprehensive volunteer database and analyzing attrition reasons are essential actions for continuous improvement.
